June 4, 2019
The students of Ambedkar University in Delhi held a protest in solidarity with the sanitation workers who were dismissed from their jobs with a mere 15 minutes notice. The sanitation workers are required to physically enter and open the sewers with their hands which is a criminal act under the Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and Rehabilitation Act 2013.
